The Freshwater Creek Steiner School community have long been practitioners of Australian Demeter Biodynamics. The school gardens thrive under the guidance of a succession of ‘head gardeners’ and with the close involvement of school class members. The surrounding farm practises the Australian Demeter BD method and there is a strong bond between the two, with overlap of tasks and teaching. This is a teaching garden but also productive and inspiring.

This field day is aimed at small growers and gardeners.

Time: 9.00am arrival for a 9.30am start, finish around 3.30pm. (Set aside the full day in order to meet the practical requirements for membership of BDGA.)

Food: Tea, coffee and morning tea will be provided. The school will also be offering lunch for an additional $25, payable in cash on the day – please advise Sarah by text on 0421950013 by 12/4 if you would like lunch provided

BYO: $25 for lunch (see above) or bring your own food if you’d prefer, plus chair, work boots, wet weather gear (just in case) and a good garden fork for compost building!

Stirring and storage equipment will be demonstrated and available for sale on the day.
