Pete, Bel and their three daughters have been living on and caring for the property at Lower Longley for over 20 years. They began with BD on Pete’s parent’s property in the mid 90s before continuing here with the aim of creating a healthy lifestyle and produce whilst raising their family. The property backs on to the mountain reserve of Kunyani/Mt Wellington, with the paddocks surrounded by native bush. The farm includes a 40+ tree orchard, large vegetable garden, livestock (chooks, sheep, cows) including a dairy cow with milk and cheese as staples. The country is also managed considering Aboriginal caring for country principles such as cultural burning and vegetation thinning.
